The High School Panthers

During the football season, the high school panthers are always busy. You’ll find them on the sidelines, in the classrooms, and at the concession stand. Getting the team ready for the season is a top priority. And the best way to do that is to plan ahead. Here’s what you need to know.

Homer High School

Founded in 1914 and closing in 1988, Homer High School served its community for more than a century. The high school was also the site of the longest school strike in US history. Until the mid-nineties, it was also home to the only high school in Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula Borough. In 2010, Homer had a student population of 320 Caucasian students, 22 Alaskan Native students, and two African American students. Homer’s mascot is the wheel, and its official website describes the school as “the crown jewel of the Kenai Peninsula Borough.”

Homer High School is a member of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. Homer has a population of approximately 1,200. It is located on Illinois’ Route 49, near County Road 1000, in eastern Champaign County. It is about 20 miles from Urbana, Illinois. Eustis High School

Amongst the sea of high school football programs, the Eustis High School Panthers are by no means a dynasty. They are part of the Lake County Schools district. The school has two campuses, the main campus for grades 10-12 and the Curtright campus for freshmen. They play in the 4A District 7 league. The main campus hosts a sports program spanning several different sports. The most popular sports include baseball, football and basketball. The main campus also hosts the high school track team. The Panthers are also members of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Their biggest rivals are the Broward County Tigers.

The best way to judge the performance of the Eustis High School Panthers is to see them play. On the field, the team is known for its defense and offensive line play. This year, the team will likely improve on their 3-4 record. The team also has a plethora of student-athletes vying for playing time. The team is led by head coach Jason Schroeder and senior quarterback Matt Miller. The team’s other notable players include tight end Eric Carter and cornerback Tyler Boudreaux. Benton High School

Founded in 1899, Benton High School is located in Benton, Arkansas. It is the home of the Panthers. Benton High School athletes are recruited by NCAA coaches all over the nation.

Jordan Matthews, a 6’2″, 175-pound wide receiver, holds 25 offers. Matthews’ brother, Jamarion Johnson, enters his third season with the Panthers.
