Located in Decatur, Alabama, Austin High School is one of the two high schools in the Decatur City Schools system. This school boasts a variety of programs, including the International Baccalaureate program and the student council. The school enrolls over 1,400 students and is a member of the Decatur City Schools system.
The Austin Black Bears will travel to Sparkman, Alabama for the Class 7A, Region 4 opener. This will be the first time that Decatur has played in their own home stadium in many years. The Black Bears have played 60 games in their history.
The Decatur Red Raiders are coming off a 28-14 win over the Austin Black Bears. The Raiders led 13-0 at halftime and were leading 21-7 after the third quarter.
