Northside Rams Football Updates

northside rams football

During the Northside Rams football season, there are plenty of exciting games to look forward to. However, the season can be stressful for some fans. This is especially true if you live in a suburb, which can be a tough place to root for a team. The weather can be unpredictable, and the game can get rained out. In addition, there are also several accidents that can happen during the games. For instance, a coach has died in a car accident, and a trampoline has been destroyed by a storm.

Scoreboard crumples against the wind

During the week of Halloween, the students of Northside High School were treated to a scare free quarter hour or two. Thankfully, the gents remained in their respective corners and not the halls of fame. The scoreboard and a few of their friends were the good kind of folks. Not a bad way to start the football season off. Of course, that is if you’re a stud in the ring, you’re bound to be a stud on the opposite side of the ball. The above mentioned aforementioned gents have no doubt been eavesdropping on each other and their mates since the gett was awarded.

Coach dies in car accident

Isaiah Strickland of Raleigh was killed in a car crash on Wednesday. He was the third Mississippi high school football player to die in an auto accident since August 2. The first two deaths were Josh Lucas of Walker County and Jake Montgomery of Northside.

Several people are also saddened by the loss of Jontel Williams, a senior at Northside High School who died in a car accident. He weighed 165 pounds and was considered a hard worker. He played with a torn ankle ligament his senior year. He also volunteered as a football coach after graduation.

Jontel graduated from Northside in May. He leaves behind his mother and sister. His father, who is in charge of NFL Draft Diamonds, is also upset by the death of his son. He was a defensive back and a great athlete. He was also capable of squatting 300 pounds in the gym.

Jontel’s family and friends are mourning the loss of this great man. His mother, Erica McAdoo, was a well-respected member of the LA Police Department. She was also a senior detention officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. She was married and had three children. She was pregnant with twins in November.

Don Creasy was inducted into the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. He compiled an 186-76-3 football coaching record over 23 seasons. He also played in the North-South All-Star Game. He graduated from Colbert County High School in 1961.

He was a three-time letterman. He was named most valuable lineman in 1964. He attended Florence State College.

Game details

During the last week of the regular season, Northside defeated Sipsey Valley 27-6. While the game was not a playoff qualifier, the win was enough to assure the Rams of a spot in the playoffs. This was the second straight season that the team made the quarterfinals. It’s unclear whether or not the team will have an opportunity to make another deep run in the playoffs in 2021.

In the first quarter, the teams traded touchdowns. Northside’s Luke Jones ran for a 20-yard score with 5:45 left in the first quarter. Then, Jared Green gave the visitors a 21-14 lead with a 28-yard run with 4:16 left in the half.

The second quarter was a different story. Corner’s Gavin Brown scored on a 14-yard dash with 5:26 left in the second quarter. Then, Landon Peterson threw an 18-yard TD pass to Tyson Hill with 59 seconds left before intermission. Then, in the third quarter, Isaiah Turner ran for a short TD and Braden Green had a two-yard TD run. Then, in the fourth quarter, Peyton Beard scored on an errant Corner lateral.

All in all, it was a good performance for the Northside Rams, who moved to Class 5 Region this year after finishing as the third-seed in the Class 4A Region 5. The Rams’ record was 8-2 in the regular season and 10-3 in the region. They lost to Etowah in the third round of the playoffs, but it’s still possible they could make another deep run in the playoffs.

The Rams’ record should go up to 7-1 by the Senior Night game against Hale County. The team’s schedule should be easy to handle. In addition, they have a good shot at taking care of the rest of the region schedule. They should be able to reach the playoffs, but it’s too early to tell if they’ll be a state champion.

The team’s next game is against Cabot High School on Friday. Tickets are $5 each, and can be purchased at the Athletic Director’s office.
