Northside High School Football and Warner Robins High School Basketball

During the week leading up to the Northside High School Homecoming game against Warner Robins, students at the high school participated in various activities and events to prepare for the football game. These activities included a parade and a pep rally. As a result of these activities, the school community was encouraged to be involved. These events also provided students with a chance to practice their leadership skills.

Homecoming

Despite the fact that the Northside vs Southside basketball game is not a contest to be missed, there is a reason for this to be considered as well. It will be a celebration of the senior class as well as the beginning of the new season. The games will be played on February 22 and 25 respectively.

As the name suggests, the one sided triangle announcing the presence of a new entrant to the home court will be unveiled on the field. The new entrant has a lot of hype surrounding it, but the school is not afraid to put its best foot forward. The school has been busy securing a suitable venue for the event. It will also be the first time the city of Hot Springs has hosted a high school basketball game. The school will be livestreaming all games on its website, so if you can’t make it to the game in person, you can still catch up on the action from your living room.

This is not to say that the Northside vs Southside football game is a slam dunk. Both teams are at or near the top of their respective leagues, but the competition is tough. It will be a test of grit and guile as well as team chemistry. If the coach’s horses can’t win, the odds are high that the underdog will.

In the event that the home team prevails, the trophy for this year’s homecoming is a coveted one. For the past few years, the school has been known to award a coveted trophy to a senior player for their outstanding efforts on and off the field. Hopefully, this tradition continues into the future.

Warner Robins-Northside rivalry

Among the 10 high school football rivalries listed in the annual USA Today’s Best High School Football Rivalries contest, Warner Robins and Northside ranked fifth. The two schools have a combined 879 wins and have accumulated 36 region titles. The schools have two national championships between them. The game is important to the history of both schools.

These two teams have played for 63 games over the years. The Demons have won 47 of those games. They have an all-time series record of 39-25. However, they haven’t had a shutout in the series.

Last season, the Demons were 13-2, but lost to Buford in the state championship. This year, they are returning key players on defense. Those players include junior linebacker Jay Carter, senior linebackers Ahmad Walker and Demarcious Robinson, and sophomore defensive end Victor Burley. They will hope to have another dominant season on defense.

The Eagles have also done well on defense this season. They have held opponents to 145 rushing yards in the three games. They have had three interceptions in the past two games. Their defense will be a key factor against the Demons offense.

The Demons have an excellent quarterback in Dylan Fromm. He has thrown for 10 touchdowns and has only thrown for less than 300 yards in the last four games. He has six rushing touchdowns, and he has the same amount of 100-yard rushing games as passing games. He could improve his college recruiting stock.

The Eagles will be eager to play against their rival. They’ve been riding the momentum of their victory over Howard last week. The teams have played in a joint football stadium for the past 52 seasons.

Southside-Northside girls basketball schedule

Considering it is home to the triumphed tiddly, it’s no surprise the Fort Smith Southside Lady Bulldogs are among the best in the state of Arkansas. The latest batch of BHS competitors are vying for the number one spot in the most competitive conference in the district. Luckily for the eponymous trophy recipients, their respective coaches are among the most professional in the county. Despite a handful of snoozes, the boys are churning out some of the best basketball in the state. Despite some upstarts, the Tigers are averaging more points per game than their rivals. For the record, the Tigers boast a winning percentage of over 80%. Currently, the Tigers have two games in the books and they look like they can be trusted to make the playoffs. They are battling it out with the likes of Carencro and Northside. The Tigers are ranked in the top ten in the state in terms of wins and losses.

Darby Junior High football

Whether you’re a diehard Northside alum or a newbie, there are plenty of reasons to visit the Fort Smith district. It’s a thriving community and the quality of the education you receive is second to none.

In fact, the school’s library is a veritable cornucopia of course books. The athletics department has been known to recruit athletes from prestigious private schools. If you’re interested in kicking some hoops, be sure to check out the open field dates listed below.

The school also boasts one of the state’s most diverse student bodies. For example, a recent survey revealed that one in four students at the high school are black. Not a bad thing for the school’s stellar sports program.

The school boasts more than 1,200 students and a staff that has earned several accolades. Despite a recent dip in the number of sports scholarships, the school remains a perennial contender in the Arkansas state football tournament. A few of the best athletes in the state are enrolled in the varsity program. As of this writing, the Bulldogs are in the top ten of the state’s largest public school districts. The school’s sports program is a nod to the school’s storied history and legacy.

A plethora of special programs and events ensure that the school is a hotbed of student activity. The list includes the National Honor Society, an honorary student council, a student government, and a varsity cheerleading squad. The varsity football team is currently ranked seventh in the 7A classification and has qualified for the state championships in two of the last three years. The school’s athletic program features five state championships in 11 seasons.

Conway High School

During the 1975 season, Conway High School won everything. They were the first non-AAAA school to win the overall championship. They also won back-to-back AAA state basketball championships.

In football, Jim Smith was the head coach of the Wampus Cats for 18 years. His 129 wins were the most in school history. He also served as head track & field coach for four years. He also served on the board of education in the Conway School District.

Before he became a head coach, he was a standout athlete at Conway Junior High. He lettered in football and basketball. He earned all-state honors in basketball as a senior. He was also a two-time all-state track performer. He also was named all-region 5AA as a sophomore.

Bright began his coaching career at Conway Junior High in 1949. He later was elected to the board of education in the Conway School district. He also served in the Navy during World War II. He coached both boys and girls basketball, baseball, and track. He also served as the first junior high coach in the Conway school district.

Mabry was a huge, 240-pound offensive tackle. He helped the Wampus Cats to a 10-1 record in 1967. He was all-state in both sports as a senior and was the tournament MVP. He also won the discus at the AA state track meet. He was also named to the Arkansas Gazette Super Team. He was also named to the all-Southern team.

Tim Horton, another standout sprinter, was a four-year letterman at UCA in 1986-1989. He was also an all-state tailback in 1984. He was also a state track champion in the 400-meter dash and the 200-yard dash.
