Diversity score

Increasing racial and economic diversity in schools can improve outcomes for all students, but achieving a diverse student body can be difficult. To achieve these benefits, schools need to commit to diversity as part of their mission, use restorative justice, and ensure that staff and students have strong relationships with each other.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation, a national nonprofit group, has recently requested that Escambia County Public Schools investigate a complaint it has received about prayer being recited during athletic events. Apparently, the school’s players stood hand in hand, recited the Lord’s Prayer, and stood up for prayer.
