Flomaton High School

Flomaton High School is a private high school in Flomaton, Alabama. The school has been around since the 1920’s and currently has a population of around 400 students. The school’s mission statement is to “Educate, Equip, and Serve.” The school is a great place to go for a high school education. In addition to education, the school offers athletics. In fact, the school is home to two varsity teams. The football team and the baseball team. The student population is diverse, with students from all walks of life. The school has a Diversity Score that reflects this.

Student population

Having an official student counting period is important to federal funding for the following school year. Escambia County schools are busy preparing records for the 2010-2011 school year.

Flomaton High School in Flomaton, Alabama, serves 502 students in grades 7-12. The school is publicly funded and follows Alabama state public education policies. It has the lowest total spent per student in the Escambia County School District. A number of teachers are employed, 28.6 of which are full-time. One project has been funded through the DonorsChoose program, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping teachers with classroom funding.

The student population at Flomaton High School is the largest in the district. The most notable changes from the 2009-2010 school year were the loss of 48 students at W.S. Neal Elementary and W.S. Neal High Schools.

The student population at Flomaton Elementary School showed a drop of 19 students. The largest number of students was a tad smaller, but still pretty impressive. The student population at Flomaton High School, in comparison, showed an increase of seven students.

There are also other schools in the area, including Rachel Patterson Elementary School and A.C. Moore Elementary School, in Atmore. The area schools have a total of five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The area has a total population of over 64,000 residents. This population is a bit larger than the county’s population, but smaller than the state’s. Regardless of the population size, the area’s schools are doing a good job of providing a quality education to students of all ages. It’s student population of 504 is about half the size of the student population in the state’s largest city. The school employs a whopping 28.6 full time teachers, including the likes of a snarky Superintendent Michell McClung. As of the end of the 2017-18 school year, Flomaton High School was ranked among the top 30 percent of all 1,263 public schools in Alabama. The school was also ranked in the top five percent of all public high schools in the state for overall test scores.

Athletics

Apparently, there is a problem with the athletics at Flomaton High School. One of the athletic trainers, Kelsie Lauren Johnson, was arrested and charged with having sex with a 17-year-old student. This is the second case in which a Flomaton High School employee has been arrested for misconduct, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department.

The Flomaton High School athletic trainer was on loan from an unnamed school system. According to Sheriff Jackson, Johnson was helping with the student athletes at the school. The school district’s athletic department is conducting an investigation. The investigation has not yet concluded, but the arrest was made and a formal complaint was filed against Johnson. According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Johnson was arrested on January 15th, 2012, and booked into the Escambia County Jail without a bond.
